Gilding may seem complicated when you don’t know the tools and the materials to use, or how to apply it.  If you want to start gilding or get a deeper insight and broaden your gilding techniques, this workshop is perfect for you.  We will explore different gilding mediums (Gum Ammoniac, Ormoline, Miniatum Ink, Instacoll, Instacoll Gel), look at the effects they produce on different types of paper as well as techniques on raised and flat gilding.  We will also look at the different tools used for gilding, as it may seem a bit overwhelming not knowing what supplies to purchase and how to use them.  As the end of the workshop we will create a piece so that you can put the different application techniques into practice.  I can’t wait to see the amazing pieces you start creating after this workshop!
