Moving to Dubai

I moved to Dubai about six months ago and thought I’d share my experience for anyone who’s on the fence. I work as a data analyst for a European fintech company, fully remote for the last few years. Once I realized my job could be done from anywhere, I started looking for a place that felt long-term, not temporary.

Dubai wasn’t my first option, but the more I researched it, the more sense it made: infrastructure, safety, time zone, and no constant visa runs. I started browsing properties online and eventually focused on listings from https://dubai-real.estate/. The platform made it easy to compare neighborhoods and understand what you actually get for your money here.

I ended up buying a one-bedroom apartment near Dubai Marina. The buying process was surprisingly transparent, especially compared to what I’m used to back home. Having a place of my own here changed everything — it made the move feel real and permanent instead of experimental.

Life-wise, the transition was smooth. Reliable internet, quiet workspace, and plenty of cafés when I need a change of scenery. If you’re working remotely and want a city that feels organized and future-oriented, Dubai is worth serious consideration.
