Workshop Description
This ONLINE workshop will cover " Traditional Gold Preparation" by artist Nagihan Seymour.
In the traditional arts especially in tezhip one of the main materials is Gold. Origin of tezhip word is coming from "zeheb" which means ornamenting with gold.
During this workshop, students will learn how to crash/prepare gold from gold leaf to use in their work traditionally. Nagihan will prepare two types of gold which are 22ct yellow and 12 carat white gold. The process will be seen step by step. In the second day, the gold preparation will be finalised and suitable floral motifs will be painted with the prepared gold and students will be taught how to apply gold on to the paper.
After the workshop, student will also get written instructions.
