The Unconventional Pointed Pen ...upper & lower case delights

Creative tiny foundational letterforms and Roman capitals using the versatile pointed pen will be our focus for this workshop.

We will begin our study working with monoline forms, then use the pointed pen. We will look at variations and how to achieve details while reducing the x-height of our letters. The roman hand is a long time love of mine. I have gravitated to the Roman hands minuscule as well as majuscule for their versatility and elegance. As I often work with small letterforms, the pointed pen is the tool that helps provide the refinement and elegance I am looking for.
