Starting date: 21 January 2026
Fees: HK$ 780 or US$ 100
Workshop Description
Welcome to The Lowercase Affair — a two-part online workshop dedicated entirely to the graceful world of Engrosser’s Script minuscules. Often described as the “heart and rhythm” of Engrosser’s, these delicate forms are where true mastery begins.

In this 2-lesson series (each 2 hours long), we’ll slow things down to explore the beauty of the lowercase letterforms — the subtle shades, the precise turns, and that unmistakable flow that defines fine penmanship.

Through guided demonstrations and plenty of practice strokes, you’ll learn how to:

-
Understand the anatomy and structure of Engrosser’s Script minuscules.
-
Develop consistent slant, spacing, and rhythm for polished, uniform writing.
-
Master the fundamental stroke groups that form the backbone of every letter.
-
Build smooth transitions between letters for fluid, connected words.
-
Identify and fix common errors to enhance legibility and elegance.

You’ll also get insights into:

-
How to train your eye for proportions.
-
How to build muscle memory through mindful repetition.
-
How to balance grace and precision without losing your natural hand movement.

This workshop is perfect for:

-
Beginners ready to start their Engrosser’s journey.
-
Intermediate calligraphers looking to refine control and consistency.
-
Advance level calligraphers who love the meditative rhythm of the pointed pen.

By the end of The Lowercase Affair, you’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of Engrosser’s structure — and a confident, flowing hand that feels more effortless with every stroke.
