
Reggie Ezell
Reggie is a teacher. Over the past four decades his year long course "26 Seeds: a Year to Grow" has been among the most highly regarded and sought after in the U.S. and Canada. For a decade before that he taught calligraphy at Loyola University and the Newberry Library of Chicago. He continues to teach extended studies courses both in person and online such as “Letterforms and Materials and Techniques Inspired by the Saint John's Bible". Examples of exciting works from these courses have been emailed out weekly since 2009 as "Pic of the Week". All are archived on his website (below) . He has also been an instructor at more than 20 of the international calligraphy conferences.
His three dimensional works have been carved in stone, cast in bronze, and sandblasted into redwood and glass. His specialty is gilding on a variety of traditional and nontraditional media. His work has appeared in Letter Arts Review, Bound and Lettered, and numerous books and journals. His works have been exhibited around the United States and Canada including the Newberry Library of Chicago and the National Cathedral in Washington DC.
