I'm GABRIELA SOBA. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1973, but I have lived in Barcelona, Spain, since 2001. I graduated as a Graphic Designer from the University of Buenos Aires and holds a Master's degree in typography. With extensive training under renowned calligraphers and letter specialists in both Argentina, USA and Europe, I have developed profound expertise in my art.

My passion for calligraphy and bookbinding for personal projects and commissions prompted me to establish 'Typo', my studio, in 2011, where I focused on creating images, brands, interior design, and space projects. Also, I've worked as a calligrapher for brands like Ferragamo, Max Mara, Hermès, L'Artisan and
Carolina Herrera.

My commitment to my art, extends beyond my studio walls. I often conduct in-person workshops in various cities and offer online courses. I have been invited by esteemed organizations such as CalligraphyItalia, IAMPETH, Portland Society for Calligraphy, and Roballo Naab. Additionally, I perform as a Mentor in the multicultural group Symbiosis III (in2023) and Symbiosis IV (in 2024) for The Art of Letters, based in Singapore. I have a passion for teaching because I believe we all have something valuable to share. This
provides me with a rewarding experience, as I also learn from my students.

My artistic accomplishments have been displayed in exhibitions held in Barcelona, where I participated as an exhibitor at the Arts Libris (Artist's Book Fair in Barcelona). Notably, my final work was highlighted at the Manna Arts Center in Bruges, Belgium, from late 2022 to March 2023.
