The Triangle (or Wedge) Brush has become Pat's favorite tool for graceful florals because they complement calligraphic work so well. In this workshop, student will learn how to use it to achieve graceful leaf and petal shapes in a fresh, spontaneous way. Pat will talk about the technique of blending watercolor on the page and discuss palette choices that result in vibrant, lively color. Through a series of exercises, student will explore the feel and technique used to create these shapes, and learn how to use these forms to paint beautiful spring flowers, including the lively tulip, friendly pansy, elegant iris and graceful magnolia.
