Workshop Description

What fun to add a little whimsy and color to your art! Join me for a light-hearted, creative but beneficial workshop where we will doodle and paint, while learning about color palettes and pen control and design. First , using a small liner pen, we will draw and ‘doodle’ all types of flowers, petals, and leaves, painting them in with contrasting colors. Next comes some practice with a tiny wedge brush, making leaves, petals and flowers to add to our border design. Some flourishing techniques will follow with a pointed pen, to add some texture. If you are unfamiliar with this tool, this will be a good way to get to know it, or reinforce the technique of using it for thin strokes or shades. All sorts of combinations are possible, and the class should spark your imagination with unique and fun designs, that you can use in a border, a frame, or just a quick add-on to some calligraphy.
