Missal letter on Calf Vellum

Workshop Description

In this class we will draw and paint a Missal letter on calf vellum. Painting on vellum is lovely and truly a perfect surface! In book making the vellum cannot be stretched as one usually paints on the verso. Therefore, the painting technique is unique to vellum so in this class we will work through this method of painting on vellum. Vellum tends to cockle under water so we will discuss all that while we work.
