Workshop Description
For students who are familiar with the basics of Copperplate, this class explores further possibilities: variations on minuscule and capital letters as well as letter size and proportions. The class will also be introduced to the basic principles, shapes and techniques of flourishing through a series of pencil exercises and simple drawing techniques, as well as by studying examples from the 18th century English writing masters in The Universal Penman and other historical sources. *This workshop is open to all students and recording will be available after class for 30 days via Zoom*
