An inhabited initial occurs historically as a letter that contains or is completely overtaken by either a figure, a botanical or natural element. There is really no limit to what you can add to the letter. In this single class presentation although exemplars will be provided,it is assumed that the student can draw various letter forms. Throughout the class, I will present the ideas and styles that inspire my own designs as well as present painting techniques that can embellish these unique letterforms. We will explore adding more complex botanical elements as well as either a simple bunny, butterfly or bird. This class opens up a world of possibilities that the student can explore for years to come.
