Advanced Copperplate

Hi Everyone, I just wrote a post about today's notes, which I think disappeared, so I'm trying again. If you get two that are the same... well, that's technology!

A couple of points about today's demo pages: 1. The gold samples on white did not scan very well, so they look very light. Be sure to try whatever gold you have on white paper, even white practice paper, to see how the color works. Don't use my sample, since it only really shows up well "in person," so to speak. 2. The two pages of pencil Copperplate are a step in the gold-on-black layout process. I'll be using them to continue in the next class. 3. The 4th page has very little on it; it's just to show how capitals can line up properly if there is very little interlinear space, what works and what does not work.
