Flourishes are ornamental and whimsical embellishments that add wonder, movement, and life to our Copperplate letters.  With careful study and practice, flourishes become graceful extensions of letters and words that invite readers to take a closer look. In this class, we’ll unravel the fundamental concepts behind Copperplate flourishing and demystify complex swirls and curlicues by breaking them down into simple components and formulas. Then, we will learn how to build them up and fuse them with our letters to form ornate flourishes that will surely spice up your Copperplate script.
