Lesson 1

This is an introduction to a compass with ruling pen attachment or compass with a universal pen attachment  These tools make inked or gilded circles.  A design has been provided or you can create a monogram of your own from the initial letters provided in the class notes.  We will apply size to the design and I will demonstrate the gilding process. Homework is to complete the sizing and gilding and be ready to paint.

Lesson 2

The gilding process is completed so the painting begins.  We will talk about and paint the leaf design of the inner circle. We will also talk about other designs which could be used.

Lesson 3

We will complete the design with adding the filigree surrounding the circle, and add finishing touches.
