Christmas Bauble
With Belinda Chim
Starting date: 2 December 2026
Fees: HK$ 780 or US$ 100
Workshop Description
Join us this season for an artistic workshop centered on form, structure, and calligraphic detail.
Drawing inspiration from Japanese Temari balls, this class explores the creation of multidimensional ornament illustrations using cartouche techniques and subtle bird motifs.
Throughout the session, you will learn to structure cartouches on a spherical plane—translating fluid calligraphy strokes into layered, ornament-like designs on paper.
The workshop covers fundamental tools, line weight control, and compositional balance, offering a quiet space to develop your practice and create refined holiday artwork.

Part 1 - Space & Form : Practice fundamental cartouche strokes, line precision, and the spatial relationships required to turn flat lines into round bauble forms.

Part 2 - Motifs & Application Integrate bird forms into your cartouche frameworks and assemble your elements into finished, illustrated holiday pieces.
