Charming Cherub
With Heather Held
Starting Date : 05 Feb 2023
Fees : HK$ 390 or US$ 50
Workshop Description
Let the charm of a peeking cherub enhance your Victorian Love Note. The Victorians had a
fascination with cherubs, playful cupids and flowery fairies that could be seen peeking around
corners, carrying messages and creating playful scenes. Using pen drawn roses, meandering
ribbons, and a scroll design, we will create a sweet love note together which can used as a
greeting card or artwork for framing. The design uses a variation of the line and wash technique
with pointed pen etching and delicate watercolour. You will learn how to create the flesh tones
of the cherub, as well as a diluted shading technique that will bring a sense of dimension
cherub and scroll. This design is a wonderful way to begin to add whimsical figures to your
calligraphic work. There is something for all skill levels in this single session class. Let’s explore
this little love note together.
